This article must be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of this article among states enacting it. As added by P.L.1-1997, SEC.10. IC 31-18-9-2 Short title Sec. 2. This article may be cited as the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act. As added by P.L.1-1997, SEC.10. IC 31-18-9-3 Severability clause Sec. 3. (a) If a provision of this article or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this article that must be given effect without the invalid provision or application. (b) The provisions of this article are severable as described under this section. As added by P.L.1-1997, SEC.10. IC 31-18-9-4 Remedies Sec. 4. Remedies under this article: (1) are cumulative; and (2) do not affect the availability of remedies under any other law. As added by P.L.1-1997, SEC.10.
