Download as PDF IC 22-4.1-2 Chapter 2. Department of Workforce Development IC 22-4.1-2-1 Establishment of department Sec. 1. The department of workforce development is established. Notwithstanding any other law, the department is the sole agency to plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, and make recommendations regarding initiatives designed to prepare Indiana's workforce for effective participation in the competitive and global economy. As added by P.L.105-1994, SEC.5. Amended by P.L.21-1995, SEC.138. IC 22-4.1-2-2 Composition of department Sec. 2. The department is comprised of the following entities reorganized within the department: (1) The department of employment and training services, including the following: (A) The unemployment insurance board. (B) The unemployment insurance review board. (2) The office of workforce literacy established by IC 22-4.1-10-1. As added by P.L.105-1994, SEC.5. IC 22-4.1-2-3 Cooperation for workforce development activities Sec. 3. The entities listed in section 2 of this chapter shall cooperate to facilitate the coordination, consolidation, and promotion of workforce development activities statewide.
