The state department and the Indiana state board of education shall at all times consult with and cooperate with one another in matters relating to the health of children attending the public schools. As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.29. IC 16-46-3-2 Consultant and advisory services Sec. 2. The state department and the Indiana state board of education shall jointly work out a program under which the services of all doctors, nurses, dentists, sanitary engineers, and other specialists of the state department shall be made available to public and other schools accredited by the Indiana state board of education for consultant and advisory services in matters pertaining to the following: (1) School nursing. (2) Obtaining the services of physicians and dentists for schools. (3) Sanitation of school buildings and grounds. (4) Health. (5) Physical education. As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.29. IC 16-46-3-3 Effect of chapter Sec. 3. This chapter does not amend, supersede, or repeal any other statute vesting authority in any township trustee, school board, board of school trustees, or board of school commissioners.
