Appointments
Sec. 1. The board of trustees and faculty of Ball State University
may appoint annually to Ball State University at least two (2)
individuals from each county in Indiana.

Criteria for appointments
Sec. 2. The appointments under this chapter shall be made on the
basis of scholarship and superior mental ability.

Conditions for appointed persons
Sec. 3. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), individuals
appointed under this chapter are entitled to enter, remain, and receive
instruction in Ball State University for the next school year after their
appointment, upon the same conditions, qualifications, and
regulations prescribed for other applicants for admission to, or
students in, Ball State University.
(b) Any student attending Ball State University under this chapter
shall not be chargeable for the payment of any contingent fees.

Appointments; applicability
Sec. 4. An appointment under this chapter may be made from
students eligible to enter Ball State University or students in
attendance at Ball State University.
