Sec. 0.01.
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the
Railway Employees Water Act.

Sec. 1.
Employees while operating a railroad or railway locomotive or while
working in or near a caboose on a train shall be provided by their employer
with an adequate supply of safe, clean water satisfactory for drinking
purposes, dispensed in a sanitary manner. The employer shall either furnish
individual drinking utensils for such employees or provide for the
dispensation of drinking water in such a manner as to make individual
drinking utensils unnecessary.

Sec. 2.
Whoever violates the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a petty
offense and shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $50 for each
offense.

The provisions of this Act shall be enforced by the Illinois
