Section 6-906A - TIME FOR FILING CLAIMS BY MINORS.

6-906A. TIME FOR FILING CLAIMS BY MINORS. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, no person who is a minor shall be required to present and file a claim against a governmental entity or its employee under this chapter until one hundred eighty (180) days after said person reaches the age of majority or six (6) years from the date the claim arose or should reasonably have been discovered, whichever is earlier.

(2) For any claim filed by or on behalf of a minor against a governmental entity or its employee in a child abuse case, as described in section 6-1701, Idaho Code, such claim shall be filed in accordance with the provisions of section 6-1704, Idaho Code.
