Section 71-410 - REVOCATION OF LICENSE.

71-410. Revocation of license. A license issued under the provisions of this act may be revoked by the director of the department of agriculture, or the renewal thereof, may be refused by the director, for dishonesty, incompetency, inaccuracy, for any false statement made in any part of the application for a weighmaster's license, and for any violation of any of the provisions of this act. If the director shall refuse to grant any license provided for herein or shall refuse to grant a renewal thereof to any applicant, or shall revoke any license previously granted by him, he shall give such applicant, or licensee, fifteen (15) days' notice of his intended action in writing by registered mail, giving reasons therefor, and upon the request of the applicant or licensee, shall afford him an opportunity for hearing as early as practicable within not to exceed twenty (20) days after receipt of such request. Upon such hearing, the director or his duly authorized agent, may administer oaths and may issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses and the production of relevant books and papers and may require a reexamination of the licensee. Upon such hearing, the director shall either rescind(,) his order of revocation or, good cause appearing therefor, may revoke such license.
