37-701. Statement of purpose. It is hereby declared to be the policy of the legislature of the state of Idaho that the public interest requires that all market milk and market milk products packaged for sale or resale as pasteurized market milk or pasteurized market milk products be pasteurized with properly designed equipment in plants which maintain minimum standards of sanitation in accordance with the provisions of this chapter in the handling and processing of such products and that personnel employed in such plants be free from communicable disease, and that plants which properly pasteurize milk and milk products require protection from competition which does not conform to the standards herein set forth.
