CAPITOL BUILDING AND GROUNDS

67-1609. Architect of the capitol building. The architect of the capitol building shall be appointed by the commission and serve at its pleasure. The architect of the capitol building must be accredited to practice in the state of Idaho and shall be selected upon the basis of his professional knowledge and qualifications related to the preservation and restoration of historic structures. The architect of the capitol building shall assist the commission, upon the commission’s request, in the performance of its duties pursuant to this chapter. The architect of the capitol building shall not be an employee of the state of Idaho but shall be compensated as are other consulting architects retained by the department of administration, division of public works. Such compensation shall be made from funds appropriated from the capitol endowment income fund created by this chapter.
