                        SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM
    59-1502.  SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT FUND. (1) There is hereby established in
the state treasury a fund to be known as the supplemental retirement fund. The
supplemental retirement fund shall be funded by general fund appropriations,
and by income from any other source. All moneys coming into the supplemental
retirement fund are hereby perpetually appropriated to the public employee
retirement board for disbursement and expenditure as authorized by this
chapter, and shall not be considered expenses of the board nor included in its
regular departmental budget.
    (2)  An amount not to exceed five per cent (5%) of the amounts
appropriated may be deducted by the public employee retirement board for
expenses and deposited to the administrative account of the public employee
retirement fund. Moneys in the supplemental retirement fund may be invested at
the sole discretion of the public employee retirement board and the earnings
therefrom shall be deposited to the credit of the supplemental retirement
fund.
