                            PUBLIC DEPOSITORY LAW
    57-140.  NEGLECT OF TREASURER -- PENALTY. If the treasurer of any
depositing unit shall wilfully fail or refuse at any time to do or perform any
act required of him by the provisions of this law relative to the deposit of
public funds, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, he shall be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $5000.
