                   SPEECH AND HEARING SERVICES PRACTICE ACT
    54-2906.  DEALING AND FITTING OF HEARING AIDS. (1) The board shall have
the authority to promulgate, by rule, written contract forms that are in
compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
    (2)  Any licensed audiologist or hearing aid dealer and fitter who fits
and dispenses hearing aids shall provide to each client:
    (a)  A written contract executed between the audiologist or hearing aid
    dealer and fitter, and the client, in accordance with rules established by
    the board for each hearing aid dispensed;
    (b)  A minimum thirty (30) day trial period that shall include a provision
    for the refund of moneys paid for every hearing aid dispensed; and
    (c)  Written notice of the name, mailing address and telephone number of
    the board.
    (3)  A person licensed as a hearing aid dealer and fitter shall, when
dealing with a person eighteen (18) years of age or younger, obtain written
confirmation that such person has been examined by a licensed otolaryngologist
or audiologist within thirty (30) days of the sale of any hearing aid.
