                                 PHARMACISTS
    54-1713.  ORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD. (1) The board of pharmacy shall elect
from its members a chairman and such other officers as it deems appropriate
and necessary to the conduct of its business. The chairman of the board of
pharmacy shall preside at all meetings of the board and shall be responsible
for the performance of all of the duties and functions of the board required
or permitted by this act. Each additional officer elected by the board shall
perform those duties normally associated with his position and such other
duties assigned to him from time to time by the board.
    (2)  Officers elected by the board shall serve terms of one (1) year
commencing with the day of their election, and ending upon election of their
successors and shall serve no more than one (1) consecutive full term in each
office to which they are elected.
    (3)  The board shall employ a licensed pharmacist who shall be an ex
officio member of the board without vote to serve as a full-time employee of
the board in the position of executive director. The executive director shall
be responsible for the performance of the regular administrative functions of
the board and such other duties as the board may direct.
