                                   BARBERS
    54-528.  QUALIFICATIONS OF TEACHERS. No person shall teach or be employed
to teach in any barber school within the state, who at the time of rendering
such service is not a holder of a teacher's license for barbering or
cosmetology.
    No person shall be issued a teacher's license until he has satisfactorily
completed a minimum six (6) month course of barber teaching as a student in a
properly licensed barber college or had a minimum of three (3) years'
experience in practical barbering. Any person who makes application to obtain
a license to teach barbering and barber-styling must pass satisfactorily the
barber teachers' examination to be conducted by the board of barber examiners.
    The barber teachers' examination will determine fully the applicants'
ability to teach all the branches of barbering, both practical and scientific.
    A barber teacher's license may be renewed annually by the payment of the
required fee and proof of having met the continued education as may be
required by board rule.
