2005 Idaho Code - 50-2302 — PETITION FOR ORGANIZATION UNDER GENERAL LAWS -- ELECTION
TITLE 50 MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS CHAPTER 23 REORGANIZATION OF CITIES UNDER GENERAL LAWS 50-2302. PETITION FOR ORGANIZATION UNDER GENERAL LAWS -- ELECTION. Upon receipt of a petition signed by registered qualified electors equal in number to twenty-five per cent (25%) of the total number of voters casting ballots at the last preceding general city election, the governing body shall by resolution issued within ten (10) days after filing of said petition, submit the question of organizing as a city, under this act, and the general laws of the state of Idaho, at a special election to be held at the time specified therein, and within sixty (60) days after said petition is filed.
