                             POWERS AND DUTIES OF
                              BOARD OF DIRECTORS
    43-313.  ELECTRIC POWER PLANTS -- CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION. The board of
directors of any irrigation district, organized under the laws of the state of
Idaho, shall have the power to construct and operate, or to contract for the
construction and operation, of electric power plants, power transmission
lines, and all other works in connection therewith necessary or proper for
generating and transmitting electric power, and for pumping water for
irrigation and domestic use; and to contract to sell surplus power generated
at such power plants.
