                           SEEDING OF BURNED AREAS
    38-502.  STATE TO CONTROL EROSION BY SEEDING OF GRASSES. It shall be the
duty of the state of Idaho through any legally constituted bureau, division or
department thereof having control of any burned over lands, to control erosion
thereon, to provide feed and cover for wild life and range for livestock, by
providing for seeding grasses and/or legumes. Whenever possible such work
shall be done in cooperation with the counties and the federal government, or
any agency thereof. It shall be the duty of any officer having charge of any
bureau, division or department of the state of Idaho, having under his
jurisdiction, lands which may hereafter be burned over, to request the state
legislature to provide funds for the seeding of such areas if he has no funds
at his disposal which may be used for this purpose.
