    33-439.  ASCERTAINING THE RESULT -- WHEN RECALL EFFECTIVE. The votes on a
recall election shall be counted, canvassed, and the results certified in the
manner provided by law for counting, canvassing, and certifying the results of
an election for school trustee.
    To recall any school trustee, a majority of the votes cast at the recall
election must be in favor of such recall, and additionally, the number of
votes cast in favor of the recall must at least equal the number of votes cast
in favor of such trustee as a candidate at the last election. A vacancy in the
office shall exist when the board of canvassers certifies the results of the
election in favor of the recall vote.
