286-312 Civil identification card fee special fund.

L 2012, c 310, §10 provides:

"SECTION 10. To provide for the transition to issuance of civil identification cards by the examiner of drivers, all valid and unexpired civil identification cards issued by the department of the attorney general up to and including December 31, 2012, shall remain valid for all purposes until their stated expiration date."

§286-312 Civil identification card fee special fund. There is established in the state treasury a special fund to be known as the civil identification card fee special fund. The fund shall consist of all fees assessed for the processing and issuance of identification cards. The fund shall be used for the purposes of the identification card program. The fund shall be administered by the director. The fund shall be held separate and apart from all other moneys, funds, and accounts in the state treasury. Interest and investment earnings credited to the assets of the fund shall become a part of the fund. Any balance remaining in the fund at the end of any fiscal year shall be carried over to the next fiscal year. [L 2012, c 310, pt of §2]
