§128-12 Local organizations for civil defense.

§128-12 Local organizations for civil defense. Each political subdivision shall establish local organizations for civil defense in accordance with state civil defense plans and programs. The deputy director for each political subdivision shall have direct responsibility for the organization, administration, and operation of the local organizations for civil defense, subject to the direction and control of the governor and director of civil defense, and subject to the assumption of direct operational control by the governor or the director as provided in this chapter. Each local organization for civil defense shall perform civil defense functions within the territorial limits of the political subdivision within which it is organized, and, in addition, shall conduct such functions outside of such territorial limits as may be required pursuant to this chapter.
