By resolution (Ga. L. 1982, p. 1355), the General Assembly designated the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia as the State Museum of Art of the State of Georgia.

By resolution (Ga. L. 1984, p. 475), the General Assembly designated the Botanical Garden at the University of Georgia as the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.

By resolution (Ga. L. 1985, p. 562), the General Assembly designated The Atlas of Georgia as the official state atlas of Georgia.

By resolution (Ga. L. 1985, p. 747), the General Assembly designated the right whale as the official Georgia state marine mammal.
