§ 50-1-10. [For Effective Date, See note.] Daylight Savings Time Year Round; Contingent Implementation

Universal Citation: GA Code § 50-1-10 (2022)
  1. This state, including all political subdivisions thereof, shall observe daylight savings time year round as the standard time of the entire state and all of its political subdivisions.
  2. This Code section shall become effective only if the United States Congress amends 15 U.S.C. Section 260a to authorize states to observe daylight savings time year round.

Delayed effective date.

Ga. L. 2021, p. 81, § 1/SB 100 provides that this Code section becomes effective if the United States Congress amends 15 U.S.C. Section 260a to authorize states to observe daylight savings time year round. As of May, 2022, this requirement has not been satisfied.
