§ 40-6-28. Restricted Access/managed Lanes

Universal Citation: GA Code § 40-6-28 (2022)
  1. The Department of Transportation may install gates, signs, or barriers, or any combination thereof, to restrict access to managed lanes.
  2. No person shall drive any vehicle through, around, or under any barrier or closed or moving gate of a managed lane.
  3. No vehicle shall enter or exit a managed lane at any point other than designated entry or exit points unless directed by authorized emergency personnel.

The 2019 amendment, effective May 12, 2019, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted “The Department of Transportation” for “The department” at the beginning of subsection (a).
