§ 43-26-50. Definitions

As used in this article, the term:

  1. "Board" means the Georgia Board of Nursing.
  2. "Nurse" means a registered professional nurse licensed or authorized pursuant to Article 1 or Article 4 of this chapter, an advanced practice registered nurse, as defined in paragraph (1.1) of Code Section 43-26-3, or a licensed practical nurse licensed or authorized pursuant to Article 2 or Article 4 of this chapter.

The 2014 amendment, effective July 1, 2014, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, deleted ", with respect to registered professional nurses and advanced practice registered nurses, and the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses, with respect to licensed practical nurses" from the end of paragraph (1).

The 2019 amendment, effective April 25, 2019, in paragraph (2), twice inserted "or authorized" and "or Article 4".
