Chapter 17 - Control of Sexually Transmitted Disease
§ 31-17-1. Enumeration of Diseases Deemed Dangerous to Public Health

Universal Citation: GA Code § 31-17-1 (2020)

Syphilis, gonorrhea, and chancroid, hereinafter referred to as sexually transmitted diseases, are declared to be contagious, infectious, communicable, and dangerous to the public health.

The 2020 amendment, effective July 1, 2020, substituted "sexually transmitted" for "venereal" in the middle of this Code section.
