§ 12-5-34. Aid to Pollution Control and Surface-Water Management - Amount of State Grant

  1. The state's contribution toward the construction of water pollution control projects shall not be limited by percentage contribution, and the State of Georgia may make grants to counties, municipalities, or combinations thereof in any amount up to the full cost of the construction of such projects where local need is shown and where such funds are available.
  2. State funds may be provided for such projects or portions of projects wherever the need may exist in conjunction with or in addition to federal grants as might be received under Title II of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972 (P.L. 92-500), 33 U.S.C. Section 1281, et seq., as amended by the Clean Water Act of 1977 (P.L. 95-217), or as such acts may hereafter be amended.
