53-9-42. (Pre-1998 Probate Code) Applicable procedure and laws; oath and bond of conservator


(a) Upon the petition being filed, the procedure shall be the same as in applications for administration on estates of deceased persons. The laws applicable to the administration of estates shall apply to conservators of the estates of absentees except insofar as the same may conflict with this part.

(b) The conservator shall, on appointment, subscribe an oath and give bond with good security as in the case of an administrator.
