53-8-32. (Pre-1998 Probate Code) Sale of insolvent or doubtful evidences of debt; order of probate court; time and manner of sale; notice


All notes, bonds, judgments, accounts, or other evidences of debt which, after due diligence, remain uncollected and are deemed insolvent or doubtful may be sold by the administrator under an order of the judge of the probate court. Such sale shall be at public outcry, during the usual hours of sale, on the regular day of sheriff's sales and at the place of sheriff's sales. Thirty days' notice of the sale shall be given by posting notice at the courthouse door and at three or more public places in the county.
