20-2-212.4. Additional five percent increase in teacher salary based on student performance


Any teacher who has acquired rights to continued employment as a teacher shall receive an increase in annual state compensation of 5 percent, beginning the school year following any year in which the students taught by such teacher earn a significant increase in average scores on the criterion-referenced test or any other test selected by the State Board of Education for that purpose. The State Board of Education shall define "significant increase" for the purposes of this Code section. The increase earned by compliance with this Code section shall be in addition to all other salary increases for which the teacher is eligible.
