2006 Georgia Code - 7-1-78

7-1-78. (a) The department may, at its discretion, enter into cooperative or reciprocal agreements with other regulatory authorities and may furnish to such authorities information contained in the examinations, reports, and institution files, provided the information is to be used for confidential, regulatory purposes. (b) Furnishing information as permitted by this Code section shall not be deemed to change the confidential character of the information furnished. (c) The department may accept reports of examination and other records from such authorities in lieu of conducting its own examination. (d) The department may take such actions as are reasonably necessary, either independently or with such regulatory agencies, to facilitate the regulation of financial services providers doing business in this state.
