2006 Georgia Code - 49-4-4
49-4-4. Public assistance shall be awarded to, or on
behalf of, any individual who is a resident of this state and is
otherwise eligible therefor under one of the categories established
pursuant to this article, as determined in accordance with the
regulations of the board; provided, however, that residence in this
state in excess of one year may not be required with respect to any
individual under any category; and provided, further, that with
respect to 'medical assistance' no residence requirement which
excludes any individual who resides in this state may be
imposed.
