2006 Georgia Code - 46-7-2
46-7-2. Unless expressly prohibited by federal law, the
commission is vested with power to regulate the business of any
person engaged in the transportation as a common or contract
carrier of persons or property, either or both, for hire by motor
vehicle on any public highway of this state.
