2006 Georgia Code - 44-2-124
44-2-124. If a clerk of the superior court is disqualified
by reason of relationship, interest, or any other cause or in case
of the death or other disability of the clerk to act in any matter
arising under this article, the duties required of the clerk may be
performed either by the judge of the probate court of the county or
by a special clerk appointed by the judge for that purpose. The
entry of the appointment of the special clerk and of the purpose
for which he is appointed shall be entered and recorded upon the
minutes of the court.
