2006 Georgia Code - 33-2-4
33-2-4. (a) The Commissioner shall appoint a chief
deputy insurance commissioner and such other deputies as may be
necessary to assist him in the performance and discharge of his
duties; and, in the event of a vacancy in the office of the
Commissioner or in his absence or disability for any reason, the
chief deputy shall perform all the duties of the Commissioner. The
chief deputy shall execute a bond with proper security in the sum
of $15,000.00, such bond to be approved by the Commissioner and
conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of the
chief deputy commissioner. (b) The chief deputy insurance commissioner and
other deputies shall be removable at the discretion of the
Commissioner.
