2006 Georgia Code - 20-2-741

20-2-741. (a) In order to be eligible to receive state funding pursuant to Code Sections 20-2-161 and 20-2-260, each local board of education shall send a copy of the policies adopted pursuant to Code Section 20-2-735 to the State Board of Education by July 1, 2000, and comply with the provisions of this subpart. (b) The provisions of this subpart, and policies and student codes of conduct adopted pursuant to this subpart, shall apply to students in kindergarten through grade 12. (c) Nothing in this subpart shall infringe on any right provided to students with Individualized Education Programs pursuant to the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, or the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. (d) Nothing in this subpart shall be construed to affect the requirements of Subpart 2 of this part, the 'Public School Disciplinary Tribunal Act,' or Subpart 3 of this part, relating to chronic disciplinary problem students.
