2006 Georgia Code - 20-14-60

20-14-60. (a) The office, with the approval of the council, shall create and the Department of Early Care and Learning shall adopt the rules and policies that support a pre-kindergarten accountability assessment program that is primarily performance based. (b) The office shall develop and the Department of Early Care and Learning shall adopt performance measures and indicators that provide the basis for an accountability report card annually on the Department of Early Care and Learning. (c) The office and the Department of Early Care and Learning shall identify, define, and develop such performance indicators and measures by December 1, 2001. The office shall implement and produce the first report card on the Department of Early Care and Learning and pre-kindergarten programs by December 1, 2002. (d) After December 1, 2002, the office shall audit those pre-kindergarten programs as necessary in implementing the education accountability system described in this part.
