Chapter 655 FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS GENERALLY

655.41 Cross-industry conversions, mergers, consolidations, and acquisitions; definitions used in ss. 655.41-655.419.

As used in ss. 655.41-655.419, the term:

   (1) “Financial entity” means an association, bank, credit union, savings bank, Edge Act or agreement corporation, or trust company organized under the laws of this state or organized under the laws of the United States and having its principal place of business in this state.

   (2) “Capital stock financial institution” means a financial entity which is authorized to issue capital stock.

   (3) “Mutual financial institution” means a financial entity which is not authorized to issue stock and the assets of which are owned by its members.
