Chapter 470 FUNERAL DIRECTING, EMBALMING, AND DIRECT DISPOSITION  
470.001   Legislative intent.

470.001  Legislative intent.--The Legislature deems it necessary in the interest of public health and safety to establish minimum qualifications for entry into the professions of embalming and funeral directing and to provide for swift and effective discipline for those practitioners who violate the law. The Legislature further deems it necessary to provide for the registration of all direct disposers, to provide against improper conduct by practitioners of direct disposition, and to establish swift and effective discipline for those practitioners who violate the law.
