413.89 State vocational rehabilitation plan; preparation and submittal; administration.
413.89 State vocational rehabilitation plan; preparation and submittal; administration.--Upon appointment, the Occupational Access and Opportunity Commission is authorized to prepare and submit the federally required state vocational rehabilitation plan and to serve as the governing authority of programs administered by the commission, including, but not limited to: administering the state's plan under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended; receiving federal funds as the state vocational rehabilitation agency; directing the expenditure of legislative appropriations for rehabilitative services through its designated administrative entity or other agents; and, if necessary, making any changes to the plan that the commission considers necessary to maintain compliance with the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and implementing such changes in order to continue to qualify and maintain federal funding support. During the period of time between the appointment of the commission and the designation of the administrative entity, the commission and the division may, by agreement, provide for continued administration consistent with federal and state law.
