216.0446   Review of information resources management needs.

216.0446  Review of information resources management needs.--

(1)  There is created within the Legislature the Technology Review Workgroup. The workgroup shall review and make recommendations with respect to the portion of agencies' long-range program plans which pertains to information resources management needs and with respect to agencies' legislative budget requests for information resources management. The Technology Review Workgroup shall be responsible to the chairs of the legislative appropriations committees.

(2)  In addition to its primary duty specified in subsection (1), the Technology Review Workgroup shall have powers and duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:

(a)  To evaluate the information resource management needs identified in the agency long-range program plans for consistency with the State Annual Report on Information Resources Management and statewide policies recommended by the State Technology Council, and make recommendations to the chairs of the legislative appropriations committees.

(b)  To review and make recommendations to the chairs of the legislative appropriations committees on proposed budget amendments and agency transfers associated with information resources management initiatives or projects that involve more than one agency, that have an outcome that impacts another agency, or that exceed $500,000 in total cost over a 1-year period.
