PART IV PROTECTIVE SERVICES FOR ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN (ss. 415.502-415.514)
415.502 Comprehensive protective services for abused or neglected children; legislative intent.
415.502 Comprehensive protective services for abused or neglected children; legislative intent.--The intent of ss. 415.502-415.514 is to provide for comprehensive protective services for abused or neglected children found in the state by requiring that reports of each abused or neglected child be made to the Department of Children and Family Services in an effort to prevent further harm to the child or any other children living in the home and to preserve the family life of the parents and children, to the maximum extent possible, by enhancing the parental capacity for adequate child care. Each child should have a social security number.
