§ 42–3502.15a. Voluntary agreement moratorium

§ 42–3502.15a. Voluntary agreement moratorium.

(a) Notwithstanding the requirements of § 42-3502.15, tenants and housing providers shall not enter into a voluntary agreement pursuant to § 42-3502.15(a) for 2 years beginning on October 1, 2021.

(b) Subsection (a) of this section shall not affect any voluntary agreements that have already been approved by the Rent Administrator pursuant to section 215(b) prior to October 1, 2021.

Applicability

Section 7206 of D.C. Law 24-45 repealed the applicability provision of section 3 of D.C. Law 23-246 that impacted this section. Therefore the amendment of this section by Law 23-246 has been implemented.

Section 7206 of D.C. Act 24-159 repealed the applicability provision of section 3 of D.C. Law 23-246 that impacted this section. Therefore the amendment of this section by Law 23-246 has been implemented.

Applicability of D.C. Law 23-246: § 3 of D.C. Law 23-246 provided that the creation of this section by § 2 of D.C. Law 23-246 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.
