Chapter 10 — PROPERTY EXEMPT FROM TAXATION
Section 47-1047 — ARCH Training Center, lots 80, 81, and 949 in Square 5861.

The properties located in the District of Columbia described as lots 80, 81, and 949, in square 5861 situated at 747-775 Howard Road, S.E., owned, occupied, and used by the ARCH Training Center, are hereby exempt from all taxation so long as these same properties continue to be so owned and occupied, and not used for commercial purposes, subject to the provisions of § 47-1002, providing for exemption of certain real properties.

Legislative History of Law 12-195. Law 12-195, the "ARCH Training Center Real Property Tax Exemption and Equitable Real Property Tax Relief Act of 1998," was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 12-548, which was referred to the Committee on Finance and Revenue. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on July 30, 1998, and September 22, 1998, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on October 8, 1998, it was assigned Act No. 12-471 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 12-195 became effective on March 26, 1999.
