Section 17a-227b. - Employment applicants required to submit to state child abuse and neglect registry check.

The Commissioner of Developmental Services may require each applicant seeking employment with (1) the department, (2) a provider licensed or funded by the department, or (3) an individual funded by the department for self-directed services to submit to a check for substantiated complaints in the Department of Children and Families child abuse and neglect registry established pursuant to section 17a-101k.

History: P.A. 22-140 designated existing provisions re applicants seeking employment with department or provider licensed or funded by department as Subdivs. (1) and (2), added Subdiv. (3) re applicants seeking employment with individuals funded by department for self-directed services and made technical changes, effective July 1, 2022.
