Section 10-98a - Workforce needs.

Universal Citation: CT Gen Stat § 10-98a (2020)

The principal of each technical education and career school, or the principal's designee, shall meet with members of the business community, representatives of electric, gas, water and wastewater utilities and representatives from state colleges and universities offering courses in public utility management within the geographic area served by the technical education and career school to develop a plan to assess workforce needs of the community and such utilities and implement curriculum modifications to address those needs.

History: P.A. 01-173 effective July 1, 2001; P.A. 03-76 made a technical change, effective June 3, 2003; pursuant to P.A. 12-116, “regional vocational-technical school” was changed editorially by the Revisors to “technical high school”, effective July 1, 2012; P.A. 17-237 replaced “technical high school” with “technical education and career school”, effective July 1, 2017; P.A. 19-150 replaced “director” with “principal”, added reference to principal's designee, added representatives with whom principal or designee is to meet, and added “of the community and such utilities” re workforce needs.
