Section 16-228 - Telephone lines.

Universal Citation: CT Gen Stat § 16-228 (2019)

Subject to the restrictions of sections 16-18 and 16-248, each telephone company may construct and maintain telephone lines, upon any highway or across any waters in this state, by the erection and maintenance of the necessary fixtures, including posts, piers or abutments, for sustaining wires; but the same shall not be so constructed as to incommode public travel or navigation or injure any tree without the consent of the owner, nor shall such company construct any bridge across any waters. Such lines shall be personal property.
