Chapter 368a - Department of Public Health
Section 19a-113a - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification of lifeguards.
The Commissioner of Public Health shall adopt regulations, in accordance with chapter 54, requiring that persons who are employed as lifeguards shall be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross or the American Safety and Health Institute.

History: P.A. 93-381 replaced commissioner of health services with commissioner of public health and addiction services, effective July 1, 1993; P.A. 95-257 replaced Commissioner and Department of Public Health and Addiction Services with Commissioner and Department of Public Health, effective July 1, 1995; P.A. 14-36 added provision re certification by the American Safety and Health Institute.
