Section 9-707 - Limit on deposits into depository account of a qualified candidate committee.


CT Gen Stat § 9-707 (2013) What's This?

Following the initial deposit of moneys from the Citizens’ Election Fund into the depository account of a qualified candidate committee, no contribution, loan, amount of the candidate’s own moneys or any other moneys received by the candidate or the treasurer on behalf of the committee shall be deposited into said depository account, except grants from the fund, and reimbursement from another candidate committee for shared expenses as provided pursuant to subsection (b) of section 9-610.

History: Oct. 25 Sp. Sess. P.A. 05-5 effective December 31, 2006, and applicable to elections held on or after that date; July Sp. Sess. P.A. 10-1 deleted former Subdiv. (2) re additional moneys as provided in Secs. 9-713 and 9-714, effective August 13, 2010; P.A. 13-180 added provision re reimbursement for shared expenses, effective June 18, 2013; pursuant to P.A. 13-180, “campaign treasurer” was changed editorially by the Revisors to “treasurer”, effective June 18, 2013.
