Sec. 7-486. Delegation of powers. (a) A municipality shall have the power to delegate any power reserved to the municipality under the provisions of this chapter, except
the powers provided for in sections 7-485, 7-491, 7-492 and 7-498, to any governmental
unit created by or under the jurisdiction or control of the municipality or to any nonprofit
corporation as defined in and organized and existing under the provisions of chapter
602 or any predecessor statutes thereto, provided that in making any such delegation of
power the municipality shall impose by resolution such restrictions as may be appropriate to assure the carrying out of the purposes of this chapter.
(c) No nonprofit corporation, to which a municipality has delegated powers pursuant to this section, shall serve as a sponsor for the purposes of this chapter.
