      Sec. 4-71c. Computation of the cost of an indexed increase in assistance payments. The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall annually compute the cost of an increase in assistance payments under the state-administered general assistance program, state supplement program, medical assistance program, temporary family assistance program and food stamp program based on the percentage increase, if any, in the most recent calendar year average in the consumer price index for urban consumers provided if the increase in such index exceeds five per cent, the computation shall be based on a five per cent increase.

      History: June 18 Sp. Sess. P.A. 97-2 made technical changes, effective July 1, 1997; P.A. 04-76 replaced reference to "general assistance program" with "state-administered general assistance program".
